We envision a diverse worshipping community of spiritually mature believers leading others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our focus is fostering healthy families engaged in holistic ministries to develop the community spiritually and economically. Collectively we are changing the world for the glory of God.
To communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ Our Lord to the world and make disciples throughout the world.
History of Our Church
The ministry started with Bible Study in the home. We as a church began praying, fasting and studying the Word of God for a more intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Then, the Lord began to bless us through our obedience. We began to be set free and delivered. Yokes were Broken, Souls were Saved, and Bodies were Healed. The Lord began to bind us together with a Godly Love for one another.
In March of 1999, we came together as a congregation as disciples of Christ with the name “One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism Outreach Ministry Inc.". The church name was derived from Ephesians 4:1-6, which reads as follows: 1) I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2) With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3) Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5) One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, 6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
In the year 1999, the 1st Worship Service was held at Mary Hammond Senior Center. We then relocated to a Ramada Inn for several months. We stepped out on faith and moved in a building on Cassat Avenue in Jacksonville, FL. The 1st Baptism consisted of 3 candidates. Our 1st local visit with other church bodies was at Rising Star church, which was pastored by Pastor Tuff. Our 1st out-of-town visit with other church bodies was at Christ Tabernacle of Praise in South Carolina, which is led by Pastor Gladden.
God has given One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism Outreach Ministry a vision. That vision is to make disciples and to train them up. Proverb 29:18 says’ Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
