|About One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism Outreach Ministry
We envision a diverse worshipping community of spiritually mature believers leading others into a personal relationships with Jesus Christ, producing healthy families engaged in holistic ministries to develop the community spiritually and economically and changing the world for the glory of God.
To communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ Our Lord to the world and make disciples throughout the world.
The ministry started with Bible Study in the home of then Elder Clarence Baker, then rotating to other members homes. We as a church began praying, fasting and studying the Word of God for a more intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Then, the Lord began to bless us through our obedience. We began to be set free and delivered. Yokes were Broken, Souls were Saved and Bodies we Healed. The Lord began to bind us together with a Godly Love for one another.
Elder Clarence Baker began to come forth as the Pastor to help rise up mighty soldiers for the Lord in Holiness. In March of 1999, we came together as a congregation as disciples of Christ our Lord with the name - "One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism Outreach Ministry". The church name was derived from Ephesians 4:1-6, which reads as follows: 1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
In the year 1999, we had our 1st Communion was at the home Elder Clarence Baker, Jr.. The 1st Worship Service was held at Mary Hommand Center. We then relocated to a Ramada Inn for several months. We stepped out on faith and moved in a building on Cassat Avenue in Jacksonville, FL. The 1st Baptism consisted of 3 candidates and Elder Baker licensed two Evangelist. Our 1st local visit with other church bodies was at Rising Star church, which is pastored by Pastor Tuff. Our 1st out-of-town visit with other church bodies was at Christ Tabernacle of Praise in South Carolina, which is lead by Pastor Gladden.
